When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash). When you use Nursify, we store the content you create or upload: folders, decks, flashcards, notes, quizzes, lecture recordings and transcripts, and your conversations with the AI tutor.

We also collect usage telemetry such as study session events, quiz attempts, and feature interactions. This powers your personal analytics like streaks and activity heatmaps, and helps us improve the product.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide the service: syncing your study materials across devices, generating flashcards and quizzes from your uploaded sources, transcribing your lectures, and displaying your progress analytics.

Uploaded files and text are processed by third-party AI providers solely to deliver the features you request, such as card generation, transcription, and tutor responses.

3. Third-party processors

To provide AI features, your content may be processed by external services including OpenAI, OpenRouter, and Replicate for language generation and audio transcription. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own data handling terms.

We do not sell your personal information or study materials to anyone, and we do not use your content to advertise to you.

4. Data retention and deletion

Your content stays in your account until you delete it. Deleting a deck, lecture, or source removes the associated files from our storage. You can request full account deletion at any time, which removes your personal information and content from our systems.

5. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and token-based sessions. You can view and revoke active sessions from your profile page at any time.

6. Your rights

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before they take effect. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest revision.
